Business Development Manager

General Summary

The Business Development Manager is a high impact role that requires strong business and partner relationship development skills. The BD Manager will interact with community stakeholders, partners, and IFN personnel who can be utilized to promote company business growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Grows IFN business in the geographic markets through existing and new IFN partners
  • Identifies key markets of opportunity for IFN Sales Team to pursue
  • Achieves identified quarterly business development targets in support of company profitability and revenue growth targets
  • Engages EDC and other organizations for group meetings, presentations, and networking in support of Business Development Goals
  • Maintains and communicates a weekly/monthly/quarterly progress on Business Development Goals
  • Develops and maintains a database of industry & critical partner contacts
  • Assists the VP of Sales and Marketing in other business initiatives as needed

Required Knowledge

  • Experience with C-level executives presentations and interactions
  • Two plus years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience required
  • Demonstrated track record of effective and efficient new business development, sales, and new account development preferred
  • Desired areas of experience include Business Development, Sales, Telecom and Consulting
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation

  • Ability to interface with community stakeholders, Economic Development organizations, Customers, Partners, and IFN personnel
  • Adaptability, building relationships, expanding and advancing opportunities
  • Effective presentation, analytical, communications and customer relationship skills
  • Time management and prioritization
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and associated deliverables

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to read computer screen and various reports
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees

  • Must be able to write, type and use phone system
