Senior Account Executive

General Summary

IFN’s Senior Account Executives will be responsible for aggressive expansion in the Enterprise customer segment. They are accountable for achieving MRC sales targets, adding new accounts within assigned areas of responsibility and providing account management of named retention customers by effectively selling IFN’s product catalog.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Personally contacts and secures new business enterprise prospective customers
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with prospects, agents, referral partners and customers including managing the on boarding paperwork and processes needed
  • Provides high activity through phone calls, email, in-person visits, and other efforts to expand current territory, market penetration and to meet quota
  • Demonstrates product knowledge and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited for their needs
  • Coordinates the “Sales” effort with Sales Operations, Sales Management, Accounting, and the IFN Operations team to ensure customer opportunities and potential issues are worked to a successful outcome
  • Creates and manages an Account Coverage Plan for prospects and existing customers to ensure achieving Monthly, Quarterly and Annual MRC sales targets
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential through tools provided by IFN.
  • Uses Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce) and documents account activities including face to face meetings, emails, phone calls, and any important account information to ensure Sales team has access to account and contact information
  • Keeps an up-to-date Opportunity forecast for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales opportunities
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/RFPs/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions as scheduled
  • Supplies management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential
  • Able to take full ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales

Required Knowledge

  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
  • 8 years successful business-to-business outside sales experience with quotas
  • 5 years successful telecommunications or IT sales experience
  • Knowledge of local telecom market, local contacts
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation
  • Excellent skill in adaptability, applied learning, assignment management, building relationships, written communication, expanding and advancing opportunities, formal presentation skills, functional competence, high impact communication, continuous learning, PC skills, reasoning, and sustained customer satisfaction, in order to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • High proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and associated deliverables

  • Effective presentation, analytical, communications and customer relationship skills
  • Time management skills are a critical requirement
