INDIANAPOLIS (October 4, 2019) – Intelligent Fiber Network (IFN), a leader among Indiana’s commercial fiber broadband providers, today announces that Cory Childs, previously Director of Sales for IFN, has been named Vice President of Carrier Sales and Business Development.
An experienced manager in the sales industry, Childs will continue to leverage his 10+ years of sales experience in order to help IFN achieve revenue goals in this growing industry. Prior to serving as the Director of Sales for IFN since 2014, Childs also served as an account manager for the company from 2007-2009.
“I am honored to enter the next phase of my career with Intelligent Fiber Network,” said Childs. “I’m incredibly passionate about this company and the work that they’re providing for the community, and I’m eager to utilize my skills in order to create a higher impact in this new position.”
Childs graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sales and Marketing in 2003. In addition to his time with IFN, Childs has also worked as Vice President of Sales for Axia Technology Partners and for AT&T.
“IFN has seen a lot of growth since Cory joined the team, thanks in part to his great efforts. We are delighted that he’s going to continue at IFN in a leadership role” said Jim Turner, CEO of Intelligent Fiber Network. “Our entire organization is lucky to have his skills and his leadership advocating for us day in and day out and we’re thrilled that this relationship is taking the next step.”
Last year, IFN announced a plan to invest up to $100 million over the next five years in Indiana, as well as a multi-year, multi-million-dollar network upgrade across the state. The upgrades and investments increase capacity, improve stability, and add operational and network efficiency; all of which are geared toward enhancing customers’ service experience.
